LGPro Flagship Leadership Program
LGPro's flagship leadership programs — the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) and the Executive Leadership Program (XLP) — develop the leadership capabilities of people working in Local Government across Victoria.
Twenty-four places are available in each program and are selected via a nomination process.

LGPro is the member association and leading voice for people working in Local Government. We support, represent and advocate for all people working in Councils across Victoria through:

- Opportunities to develop strong networks with sector leaders

About the Programs
Emerging Leaders Program
Designed for emerging leaders in Local Government and those who aspire to positions of leadership, the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is an intense, enriching year of seminars, visits, tours, discussions, interactive activities and debate that foster participants’ leadership potential.
Participants gain access to practical insight from leaders across the sector, develop their leadership capabilities and professional attributes, forge new relationships across the sector, build stronger links between areas of expertise and increase their appreciation of the wider and emerging issues in local government. Twenty-four places will be available and selected via a nomination process.
Executive Leadership Program
The Executive Leadership Program (XLP) is designed exclusively to support executives in Local Government.
While the role of senior officers in Local Government can be challenging, it also can be highly rewarding for those who have the right mix of skills, experience, training, and preparedness to lead in this uniquely diverse and dynamic environment. Developed for and by senior executives, the XLP is unique in addressing the particular nature and challenges of leadership in Local Government. The program presents an invaluable opportunity for senior professionals to expand and develop skills and knowledge so that, as leaders of the Local Government sector, they are confident and capable. Twenty-four places will be available and selected by a nomination process.

First Nations Scholarship
A full scholarship that will cover the program fee will be offered for both programs for nominees that identify as First Nations people. To be considered, please tick the box in the nomination.
